Seven Sacred Circles – Cultivating the Divine Feminine
April 29 and May 6, 2020 5-6:30 pm PDT
The circle has no end and no beginning, no leaders nor followers. It models equality, holiness, and inclusivity.
Seven Sacred Circles are a familiar practice in Jewish worship and ritual, for example under the huppah (wedding canopy) and dancing with the Torah on Simhat Torah.
Join us to understand a meaningful way to complete the Taharah ritual (preparation for burial) and/or initiate a Levayah (funeral) that until recently was hidden inside a medieval Hebrew text. Sefer Maavor Yabbok, by Rabbi Aharon Berechia, published in 1626. It is a masterpiece providing guidance on how to support the community during life’s end.
