It brings me delight to share a new song, adapted from Willie Dixon’s “I’m Ready,” by Steve Moose and me, Rabbi T’mimah Ickovits. It’s the first song at many seders on the spirit of The Blues. Enjoy!

I’m Ready (for Seder)

I’m ready- ready as anybody can be

Kadaysh- Bring in the holiness-  

Ur’hatz- We wash but do not bless 

Karpas– Green vegetables we take-  

Yahatz– We give the matzoh a break

Magid– The story that we tell-  

Rahtzah– We wash and bless as well  

Motzi– The blessing on the bread-  

Matzah– But tonight we’re eating matzah instead

Marror– Clears up your sense of smell— 

Koraykh– Remember old Hillel 

Shulhan Oraykh– Hope you enjoy the meal-  

Tzafun– We make our visions real 

Baraykh– Thank you for the food-  

Hallayl– We share our gratitude 

Nirtzah– We’re very near the end-  

Shake a hand and make a friend
