T’SHUVAH, UNITY, AND LOVE
Weaved from the Torah of Bnai Yisaskhar, R Tzvi Elimemelekh of Dinov z”l.
ELUL IS FOR T’SHUVAH
Elul is the month specially designated for T’shuvah. T’shuvah is often translated as repentance. Translating the root of T’shuvah’s תשובה is more relevant and inspiring. The two-letter root in T’shuvah is shav (שב shin bet), which translates as return and sit. It is found in the word Shabbat.
T’shuvah offers the direction of sitting and returning to a clear state and an invitation to delve beneath the noise of everyday life.
Binah is known as “Heavenly Mother” (Eemah eela-ah and is partnered with heavenly father, Hokhmah, in Lurianic Kabbalah.
“Find a woman, find goodness.”
Proverbs 18:22.
The Bnay Yisaskhar teaches that when Virgo, the heavenly woman, rules the heavens, true goodness is available – Elul when Virgo rules the heavens.
It is easy to get deterred over the year and find that what you thought was good isn’t good. Virgo, Elul, and Heavenly Mother are present this month, uniquely, to help with T’shuvah.
GENDER INCLUSIVE CONSIDERATION
A more gender-inclusive and functional way of meeting this process shows Hokhmah as the the Cosmic Stem Cell, ource of the Pure Light of the Infinite. Binah‘s work is to decide when the Light is shared.
PROBLEM-SOLVING
“We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.” Albert Einstein. No one can solve problem from the same level that it exists. A higher level of awareness is needed to bring alignment.
Binah, is one of the upper three S’firot. She represents a high level of consciousness, where intention (kavanah) is set.
Implementing, a positive intention will tend to solve issues on a lower level.
GEMATRIA
אלול Elul is the name of this month (lunar cycle) that precedes the new year, Rosh Hashanah. It is equivalent to בינה Binah, Kabbalah’s Heavenly Mother, also called Eema eela-ah, in gematria.
This is how it breaks down:
אלול is 1+30+6+30 = 67
בינה is 2+10+50+5 = 67
Let’s add the digits together of 67 and consider its resonance, a method used in Kabbalah.
Let’s delve into 67 by adding 6+7 together. 13 is the result.
Thirteen, in gematria, is Ahavah and Ehad, One and Love.
highlights
1) Binah (Heavenly Mother, Divine Understanding) is linked with Elul.
2) The deep roots of Elul and Binah both point to love and unity in the substructure of the lunar cycle of Elul.
HOW DOES THIS HELP?
Binah’s outstretched arms and offer support, this time of year. BHer calm smiling,m gentle, presence brings comfort, love, and awareness of the Unity that exists beneath the vast diversity. Receptivity sprouts and and supports settling in and relaxing into a flow of healing. This is rich soil for T’shuvah—returning to Source.
May your journey this Elul flow with ease to bring you to the clarity and love that makes yor soul expand.
